Home On The Range is
located one mile north of I-94, exit number 7. The Home consists of
1500 acres of land used not only to support the structures of the
facility, but also to sustain cattle and horses raised and used by Home
On The Range.
Three dormitories house residents. Fahnlander Hall is one of the girls'
dormitories and houses 24 residents as well as offices for social
workers and support staff, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room,
laundry, and living room.
Casey Hall houses 8
female residents. The dormitory also has a study area, laundry
facility, recreation area and living room.
Eagle Hall houses 30
male residents. The dormitory is divided into two residential wings
commonly referred to as Eagle Hall East and Eagle Hall South. The
complex also houses a recreation room, gymnasium, chapel, living room,
residents' store and learning center.
Other buildings on
the premises include: Brunet Hall, which houses a dining room, kitchen
and laundry facilities; the Administration Building, which houses the
administrative offices as well as social worker offices; and the Schnell
Building, which consists of the mechanic shop, carpentry shop and
on-site Beach Public Schools classroom.
There are many
buildings associated with the farm, including support buildings such as
the vehicle garage.
